I have currently 2 Montis in my tank.

German Blue Digitata that has amazing colour and growth. And BS crazy orange neon glowing one.

Checked tank last night to see if there were any nudis in tank after having an issue before . Found 7 visible ones at base of German blue colony, none on BS piece. I didn't even bother dipping the whole thing last night, just snipped off three 3" branches from top and tossed the rest. Dipped them and set on a frag rack on magfloat to be monitored.

I did try the new Bayer on the branches I broke off. They looked cleaned, but I even brushed them with a toothbrush gently incase of eggs, but all nudis were right at base of colony so check there.

wow this sucks guys.. i thought montipora eating digis you only saw in the movies... not real life..

shttty buzz.

i would be careful using the bayer Mike, people have reported that dipping even a small frag and rinsing before putting it back in a tank can kill all your inverts off including shrimp and snails and crabs. you really want to make sure you rinse well before adding anything dipped with bayer into your tanks. Dipping full rocks i wouldnt try mike.

thanks for the help duke
I am on the fence about the bayer. Have been doing some reading about it.
I have been using revive. I;ve dipped 2 whole rocks encrusted with montis and no problems.
I havnt found any nudis for two nights now.
I will have too see what happens. When i set up my new tank, if i still have them then I will just chisel the monti off and start over.

Still no more nudis that i can see.
I have dipped the three big rocks with monti on them twice.
And covered up eggs with super glue.
Sucked out anything i found.
Hopefully it keeps getting better.
I will dip the rocks one more time. But not for a few more days.
My digi coral is starting too heal and come back now.

Well that was short lived. There back in full force.
I am going too try the wrasse, but if that doesnt work. Then I will go monti free for a while.
Probably chip all the monti corals off.
These things are relentless.
They hide and lay eggs where you cant get at them, and the dip does not kill the eggs.
I cant dip entire rocks anymore.
Here is hoping the yellow wrasse works.
Little bastards.

I give up. I dont have the time too keep fighting these little pricks.
Im gonna pull my monti's out and let them eat whats left. Then i'll just run monti free for at least 6 months and let them starve.
These little buggers are relentless.
