Most people test for 5 things and never test for other heavy metals or trade elements. They just assume that only this 5 things matter. If something goes wrong people just ask what levels are at and people test for this 5 things. People just trust that water changes ate keeping everything in check but all systems use trace elements differently and no one ever tests for them because they don't have the 20+ test kits to check everything else. Any of these can crash a tank if left unchecked yet we only test for 5 things and if those 5 are within limits then we are bewildered. I do ther yearly just to know that things are in check. Speaking of that I am due for one.
