Just used my new Refractometer

i have a good refractometer and a floating hydrometer stick thingy, the glass one, it is dead on 100% of the time,
whenever i do water changes i just use the little glass one, 10x as easy

I had a refrac that would somehow drift every time I used it... dont ask..  I broke down and bought the Milwaukee Digital Refract.  +1 best investment ever.  I also have Apex Salinity probes on both of my systems just as validation.

Well I really wasn't convinced that my salinity was that far off in my tank so I called BRS and they told me that the refractometer that I just got was somehow out of adjustment. They calibrate at their end before shipping and the 35ppt is measuring 45ppt and I can't lower the dial any farther to calibrate so they are sending me a new one that should arrive today! If this one isn't what I expect then I'll send it back for an upgrade!
