From what I read, it seems like this is basically a guy trying to get interest from a manufacturer to potentially bring to market. I saw in that thread he posted that he was going to be speaking at the Triton booth at noon today or something like that to show it off. It is basically a basement prototype. Not a company prototype even.

HA ... in the video that I watched from the last MACNA they were suggesting $700 US I believe. It's gone up already and it's not even released yet? LOL
Are you able to find out if you can change the scheduling as to how often it tests parameters. And if this will in turn increase the life of the discs to longer than a month? That would definitely make it a more worthwhile investment IMO.
