Now that all the water is in, my system has a total of 67.5g

Display 50g
Sump 17.5g

Not as much as I initially thought, but a nice small little system.

Plus the displacement of the rock

I can’t imagine the rock displaces that much. Looks to be maybe 30 lbs (13607 g) of rock in there. With my calculation assuming most of the rock is calcite, aragonite, and dolomite (say average density of 2.9 g/cm^3) the rock would displace about 1.241 gallons (assuming freshwater with 1ml=1cm^3 displaced). Now even if you double that, 60lbs rock it’s only 2.4 gallons.

I guess calculation works out if you use the inner dimensions of the tank and water line. 47x17x15” would give 51.895 gallons. Take away the 30 lbs or rocks you are right around 50 gallons.

Anyways, we are overthinking it. Nice 65 gallon tank!
