If GFO was a little more affordable I have used it for years. But this seems to be tried and tested positive. I bought DI by 100 lb bulk . too bad we couldn't fond a gfo suppliers cheap

What % do you dilute it.

Dilute? Gfo I used 1cup per 50 gallons

I use seaklear because it's tried and tested.
Many on rc have been using it for years with no ill effects if administered properly

What ratio do you dilute it?

Its been a while since I mixed it. But I m thinking 10 ml per 1 liter of ro I think.
I dose 6 ml per day of that diluted solution

Cliff, are you running a micro sock all the time dosing that??

No I found the 10 µm socks to clog up way too quickly. So now I am doing it through my controller. I have the sock mounted independently in my sump and I feed it with a maxi jet 1200. The MJ 12 comes on for One half an hour. Then the dose or comes on for five minutes and the MJ continues for a half an hour after the dose or stops therefore the filter socks are only filtering water for one hour a day

Only thing I find from using is
1. 10 micron socks fill fast.
2. I have fine white powder on glass instead of algae. After 3 days or so
3. I have 0 algae or at least a bit the tangs try to eat when nori isn't on clip

Here is my setup. I forgot to mention that I also put a 100 micron sock inside the 10 micron sock this stops the clogging also
In order to inject the lanthanum into the water I slit a hole in the hose coming from the mj1200 and inserted a hard air line. This injects it right into the water stream insuring it mixes well before it even hits the filter bag
