they are yes, but thats half the problem.
with an older t5 or mh fixture, you turn it on, thats the colour it is, if you dont like it, change the bulb
now its fiddling with knobs and changing lenses and the number of bulbs and so on etc etc...

right now, im running it at 100% blues, and 40% whites and i can sleep at night lol.

but blues run from 10:30 am til 11:00pm, whites run from 2pm til 10pm or so.

Ya I feel your pain. I've had to mess with my maxspects for quite a while to get them dialed in. But once you get it there, they rock!

Nice shots of LPS. Before my tank now. I always leaned towards LPS tanks. Simply gorgeous!

Well then.
After a lot of selling we are almost ready to go shopping for some angels

I completely redid my sump/ frag room.

Sold all my frag tanks and used the frag system sump and set it up on a stand on top of my 150g tank sump.

I linked them together- so now I have extra liverock storage, a neater equipment area in my actual sump, and 2 large compartments to hold fish for observation/ un medicated quarantine.

My foxface currently lives in one until I can sell
My brains , as he thinks they are snacks or something.

I went shopping haha, found a great deal on two of the most beautiful fish I have seen yet!

And a queen angel

Excited to finish selling off the last few corals and to get these guys into the big tank!
Yes I know a 150 isn't the final tank for these guys, but in a year or so they will
Hopefully be going into a 300g masterpiece

Added the regal and the queen to the display today

Blue face is more aggressive so he will stay in the holding until the other two are fully established

I also rearranged all the rock and added more rock to my display, a lot of large Caves and hiding spots is what I was going for so it may look like a pile of rocks but it's not haha

The light from the middle is in the sump, I moved the remaining coral to the sump so I could move forward.

I am planning on using a 4 bulb t5 with bright blue moon lights for at night.

currently i have
red sea regal angel
blue face angel
queen angel
purple tang
mag. foxface
flasher wrasse
2x leapord wrasse
blue damsel
2x mandarin dragonettes
2 x blacker ice clowns.

i want to add:

moorish idol
aussie tusk
racoon buttefly
potters angel
flame angel

maybe some sort of passive puffer
but thats it

its a 150g, but im buying all fish small and plan to upgrade to a 300g plus in a max of 2 years.
opinions? thoughts?
