No not really, depends on where you go for material. For me it's a better option between ease of setup and cost.

I like thoes demensions. 60*30*20. I'm ordering glass today!! :) can't wait to get this started. Going to use my ati light and other equipment. Pretty sure I'm going to go with jebao dc12000 pump also. This tank will be great in my new place as the kitchen, dining room has plenty of room. It'll be nice to have this setup as a room divider to split up the space a bit.

That was easy to convince you lol. Maybe you can post your tank build, literally! I know I'm capable of building a tank, never thought about doing it though. I'd like to see it done, maybe a video.

Lol ya.... I wanted to go wider than 24 right off the bat but the wife thought it would be to wide. To bad for her lol she will like this better once she sees it anyway:) I'll try to do a couple vids when I get the glass in. Picked up some material for the stand tonight hoping to get that started on the weekend.

Nice, I'll be following this one with interest, I may be moving and I need to figure out what to do with my tank (i.e. potential upgrade).

I do prefer a shallower tank. I can't wait to get this up and running. The demensions and style is what I think would be my dream tank:)

I made the stand 36". Was going going to go taller like my last stand but the location it's going in,it will look better at 36" it'll be nice as I hope to the stand design into what existing in the kitchen. House has a open concept main floor so that should look good. Thinking I'm going to keep it as open as possible as this design you could currently park a car on lol. This thing is going to weigh a ton. Likely doing sliding doors on the long sides and a reg door for the controll panel on the end.

Stand is progressing well and glass is on it's way, well soon I hope. Here's some update shots. I'm thinking I'm going to do the Stan more rustic this time around and finish with a charcoal/black chalk paint and glaze finish on the stand.

looking good Adam ! can't wait to see the finished cabinet, I love the look of chalk paint, I plan on redoing my kitchen cupboards in a light chalk paint.
