I'm pretty new to this topic as I haven't had to do this yet but I just bought the 150 gpd upgrade with the 150 flow restrictor. I know how to remove the membrane I think but if anyone had advice Rey wanna lend I'm all ears

Got it in the mail today along with the restrictor. Installed it and to much surprise, my tds readings never dropped below 19 ppm and my flow rate is actually slower than my old membrane. Wtf!? I know I am supposed to flush the new membrane for two hours and I did. But what's up with the slow flow and high tds?!?!?!  I'll be pissed right off if I have to buy a booster pump. I'll buy a whole new unit if that's te case. I'm so bitter

I will be trying to return my membrane tomorrow. After one hour of generating ro water I got 20 Mls. Something is wrong.

How is your water pressure at your pace?

90% of issues wit ro systems are pressure related, but I think you already knew that

ya we kinda need to know what the pressure is after the prefilters, before the ro membrane. You should also do a test, 2 cups the same size, at the same time put 1 under your waste water, and one out of your ro water (with it running of course :p) as the waste water cup gets full..dump it and start filling it up again. Count how many times you fill the waste water cup in the time it takes to fill the ro water cup.

From the sounds of it something is probally up with your flow restrictor. your pressure with the ro unit making water, the pressure with it not making water, and the results of the cup test, will help determine the problem. But my bet is its the flow restrictor

im bummed out....i wanted this to work flawlessly cuz right now i get 36 gpd it takes me about 24 hours to fill a 20 gallon jug....i have no clue what my pressure is...i would guess somewhere around 40 psi cuz its not horrible when i shower. maybe a booster is my only option at this point but its more than the cost of a better unit.... ill call them tomorrow after work when i get home.... if i had a gauge i could measure the pressure but i don't. the restrictor is the type you insert into the 1/4' drain hose. the one that was previously on the unit was an inline restrictor. don't knwo if that makes a difference but thats where im at...pretty disappointed.

Unless I fork out 200$ for the damn booster kit. I have a feeling my pressure isn't great enough and it's all going down the drain. Fak

right now its all just speculation. you have no clue unless you install a pressure guage or do a few tests. Honestly even if you call BRS, I imagine there going to be asking you questions that you cant answer atm.

yea i know they have them hear at innopure as well but the problem is i need the kit that brs sells cuz it has the autoshut off for my autoshut off lol.....its like 50 more....dunno....contacted brs today they told me nothing i can do until i run a booster...it needs 65 psi to be functional....guess my water pressure sucks....off the the wallet again.....fak
