For some people (Marz) that have to convince their significant other into doing something as expensive as a fish tank.  Wouldn't it be better if you could show them how it can look before you get the green light?  It worked for me  ;)

Any who, for those who are interested I've added the link below.

+1 I had never thought about that!

I love the look that you have achieved. Very minimalist and suits your house as a compliment.

My first wife never minded me spending money on what I wanted because I worked hard, 12 hour shifts, nights, weekends, so i pretty much got what I wanted, But my new wife, She's different, I still spend my own money but no matter what you say it always cost more in her mind. I spent 4 grand total on the tank, But to her it was 20 grand. D you gotta get that new car for her then the tank for you. Give and take, but when you take, take big.

Thanks for the compliment and I hope this works out for you :)  I can coach you a long the way and help with the design if needed.

And it's beaut as well!  I've always wanted a long tank.  Wish I could have gone 8ft but it would have looked a bit crammed in this space.  Lighting was a factor as well.

So initially this tank was going to have a 60" ATI sun power 4 bulb.  But things have changed ever since I got a special email on friday about the tank .  I won't go into detail about the contents of the email, but rest assured it's a game changer :-X  Never have I been so excited for something as cool as what has been proposed to me.  I should have all the details ironed out by the end of the week.

I'm not sure where this tank is headed, but my Aquascape has to be killer.  Deeznutz has to step it up and bring his A-game this time around lol 8)

If it looks anything like your last tank...  it will be a show piece buddy.

BTW I have your frag, you won the bet......

Thanks man, I'm hoping so.

As for the bet, it really wasn't fair.  Anyone that knows you, knows you can't stay away from weekend frag shopping :p

Small update

So today I had the day off of work.  So I decided to work on the fish room after a months worth of procrastinating.  I figured it had to get done so i can move forward with the build.

So here are the pics of the mess and what I'm dealing with it.  I apologies for the sloppiness.  But I've been so busy lately that the mess is absolutely necessary. lol

And my sleeping frag tank/reef/holding tank :D

Here you can see what's been done over the last 3 hours.  I got my first coat of mud on, so hopefully I can get some time tomorrow night for a light sand and a second coat. :bounce1:
Really wish I had a second set of hands for the drywall, but I managed to get onto the walls.

Also by the time I was finished drywalling the inside wall I lost all of my light.
So now I'm in a hurry  to run my power feed to the fish room just to have some light again lol.

Hopefully I get more done tomorrow night.  But that's where the heart of the system lays.
Until the next update my friends

Dan, Hey things take time. No rush. I wish I had all that room, Gonna be sweet.

Oh I know Jewel, thing take a lot more time these day with kids in the mix hahaha.  I'm in no rush, I actually enjoy doing a few things here and there, documenting and posting for others to follow.
I can't wait to have the fish room done.  It's going to be pretty cool with the extra space in there.
