Did Angie tell you anything about Hawaii being banned?
I am by no means an authority on this, but it is my understanding Hawaiin livestock will be available for at least another year...
Here is some info that I received about this...
Most of the Bills and resolutions will probably not even be heard by the first committee! Only one bill which could lead to a closure is going to be heard at this point in time. It is not over but looking like we might have another year without legislation. I just wanted to share this good news with all of you. Thanks for your time on this subject. Anything changes I will update everyone. Ron Tubbs
Subject: Good news but Hearings set!! IMPORTANT HEARING TIME!!!
HEARING DAY SET. BUT NO NOTICE SENT OUT UNTIL FRIDAY!!! GET YOUR TESTIMONY READY FOR SB2002 HEARING ON TUESDAY 2-7-12 1:15 PM
THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS AND OTHER BILLS TRYING TO SHUT DOWN AQUARIUM FISH MAY NOT BE HEARD. IT WAS A FAR REACH FOR THE ECO GROUPS TO TRY AND SHUT US DOWN ANYWAY. EVERYONES INPUT HAS LEAD TO AN EARLY VICTORY BUT IT IS NOT OVER YET BUT LOOKING GOOD!
DANE FROM DELA CRUZ OFFICE TOLD ME THIS. NOW THEY ARE NOT DEAD YET AND PRESSURE FROM OTHER SENATORS LIKE THE ONES PUSHING 2002 CAN STILL RESULT IN HEARINGS ON THESE BILLS.
THE BELOW TWO SENATORS ARE THE ONES PUSING FOR THE BILLS. SB 2002 IS ALIVE AND VERY DANGEROUS AS COUNTY COUNCILS HAVE VOTED FOR A BAN IN THE PAST! IT COULD LEAD TO CLOSURES FOR THE HAWAII AQUARIUM FISHERMAN.
