Word on the street is The Penguins were looking at some Toronto trades apparently. So was Colorado.

Well let em know that kadri has an ego the size of new york, only wants to play on the first line, and doesn't think a coach should be able to tell a 'superstar' what to do.  Oh and he's lebanese too, so he wants a deal when he buys more than one shirt at a time.

Lmfao ... Well he would most likely end up on the third line and I'm positive the real superstars of the Pens will put him in his place mighty quick.

I don't like the kid, sure MAYBE he's got talent, but when I see him on the bench at the winter classic yelling at randy he can go f*ck himself,

If looks could kill Carlyle would be going down for murder one lol, kadri prob got screamed at in the dressing room, total dick if you ask me :)

That wasn't the first altercation between the two, and similar to the arguments kadri had with Wilson (which kept getting him sent to the minors).  The kid is a dick.  His family has been telling him since he was 11 that he's better than all the canadian kids at hockey, and he has believed it.  It's not his lackluster talent that's to blame, it's the coach.  That's the ticket.    Crosby has similar attitude but in his case, he has the skill to back it up.  Ovie is the same thing.  Kadri has LSD but he's the bass player lol.

Good job for Hamilton last night! Is that an NHL record for back to back penalties? Lol.

Gotta give the kid credit though, his heart was in the right place, even if his feet weren't... bahahhahahaha.

Who does he think he is? Clowe? You need years of practice before you make moves like that.

I was watching that, what was the penalty, that his feet weren't out of the penalty box or something?

We're getting slaughtered on penalties, some deserved some not but we've had something like 6 short handed goals so not good heading to San palo on sat. However still in second place.

Anyone notice that Toronto slipped to 10th place last night? If I know the leafs they will blame the coach and fire Carlyle. But it won't salvage yet another season.

Playing the puck while in the still having both feet in the penalty box is another penalty apparently. I have never seen it happen before. I got a good laugh out of it though.

If the penalty is over and the door is open.... well whatever a penalty is a penalty good or bad, it's just part of the game.  Rask has been weak as of late though, which is more worrisome than penalties.  That's why you need to get WAY up in the standings BEFORE you have a slump :)

From NHL Rule 56.2:

A minor penalty shall be imposed on any identifiable player on the players’ bench or penalty bench who, by means of his stick or his body, interferes with the movements of the puck or any opponent on the ice during the progress of the play. In addition, should a player about to come onto the ice, play the puck while one or both skates are still on the players’ or penalty bench, a minor penalty for interference shall be assessed.

I guess there is a perceived advantage to being able to handle the puck while you are not fully on the ice. This goes for the bench as well it seems. I guess there are advantages that can be found with a stroke of dumb luck with puck position and absolutely amazing timing.

Oh well. The odds of that happening again are super slim.

What are the odds we could defeat the sharks twice in a row, and at home to boot?  :)

Oh it's funny.

I'm chatting with my leafer coworkers, who think the kadri deal is the shiznitz and that he will be the next tavarez or kane.  Again, they are totally discounting kessil, phaneuf, lupul etc, and putting all their bets on one pony.  Amazing.

What's funny is I know too well the hope and desperation.  The \"oh maybe this guy will fix it\".  I honestly think that burke was the reason they even made the playoffs, but good ole leaf nation starts screaming for firings, and boom, there they go.

One thing they have never done...they never ever build through the draft.  If they get a good player coming up the ranks, they trade him for a seasoned hopeful and a draft pick (that they trade for another doofus).  I heard they only kept kadri because they couldn't get anything for him, which is why he spent so much time on the farm.  They'd bring him up and prance him around for a game hoping for a taker, but nothing came, because he DOES have a major attitude problem, and unlike ovechkin, he won't have the all around skillz to back it up.  Plus, chara will just put him through the boards if he start lipping off again :)

I honestly have no idea why anyone would want to play on Toronto, it just ruins good players.  The scrutiny is insane, and a lot of the people bitching aren't even real hockey fans...the bankers and lawyers want to show their clients a win in their very expensive seats.  lol.

HAHAHA!  Year after year, decade after decade.  Kadri ain't no Kane.
