Re: My 90G Pile of Rocks

Moving everything over isn't as easy as you think, Your system is stable and it supports it self, If it were me, I'd quarantine every thing that I couldn't live with out and sell the rest, Then once your new system is set up and stable, then reintroduce those special corals very slowly. It's easier to start up a new tank then move one to another. I know plenty of people will say it's easy to do. But not for the long term success of your system.

Re: My 90G Pile of Rocks

It's officially official!

My new tank has been ordered.

210 Gallon

Dimensions are 72L x 26W x26H

5/8" Eurobrace - Starphire

3/4" Starphire Glass Front and Sides and 3/4" bottom and rear panel - A little overkill, as it will be very heavy and hopefully not moved for a long time.

Mitered corners cut at 90 degrees.

Floating Bottom

Black Acrylic Internal Overflow 4 x 18

Drilled with 4 holes (3 bean animal + 1 return)

Black Vinyl Background

It will be getting manufactured overseas, so I should be getting updates with pictures as things progress from our friends over at Aquatic Kingdom 8)

Sounds like it will be sweet.  3/4\" wow she will be heavy.  Why the extra height?

Thanks, I calculated the weight and it looks like it will be close to 500 pounds!

I was going to go with a standard 24" height, but think that the extra 2 inches should be manageable. It is custom, so they can build any size anyway. I got the idea from Great Lakes Aquarium, since they offer a 26" height in many of their tanks.

I also like the looks of the 30 inch deep tanks, but know from guys who have them, that they are a PIA to work on. I'm hoping the 26 inch height won't be too much of an issue.

Sounds like a sweet tank!  Full C2C overflow or just a box?  Gonna drop it where you have the 90 right now or a new location?
