I've done a few orders from rapid in the past and you wont have to pay duty, just tax (13%) and brokerage. However if you ask for usps for shipping then Canada post will take it at the border and you basically have a 50% chance of not paying at all. My 2 small orders I ended up paying (I think the brokerage for Canada post is something like 5 or $7) and the big order got away with it, so that saved me $70 ish.

Ok i updated the totals.

Rick and SaltyCracker have to spend $250 extra combined to get us to the $2k mark.

I can probably find a few more things i would like to have...

Guess we don't get the $2K discount then.  I've already spent $1200 on blinky lights for the tank.  This is my last top up at the LED trough.  Convince the guys going for the $129 fixtures that are going to be back to T5's in 6 months to pony up :)

Ok I am thinking about going with the 12 led dimmable actinic supplement kit....
Couple questions.....hoping someone can help....
I see this kit comes with the 24" long heat sink.....do I cut this up into small pieces to fit each led or does it mount like a rail with leds attached to it.....if this is this case then for me, 24" is no where near enough....
Next question is that I read the driver can handle up to 14 LEDs but yet all kits are 12....anyone running 14 on one driver? I might buy two extra to max out the driver....I don't want two drivers tho....
Do I want the thermal grease or the arctica alumina?

For the actinic kit, the heatsink is not for cutting up (I think he has individual heatsinks, or he used to, I have a couple).  I have a 48" one I got from there for my actinics.  I use the thermal tape pads, and have 28 RB led's on it.  (2 drivers).  I use the non dimmable drivers, I figure why dim actinic :)

Hmmm.....what are the thermal tape pads all about? Do I still need the heat sink when using these? Or are these the heat sink?

Oh ok so the thermal pads just stick the LEDs to the heat sink.....?
So, I could use these pads instead of the arctic alumina thermal adhesive? Which is better because the kit comes with the adhesive.....
