Identical to fish street half the price
If you say so.  I looked at fish street when I was rebuilding everything, and I just kept hearing that voice in my head "you get what you pay for!".  Personally I'm a bit of a brand snob, I won't buy an off brand of anything unless it's an up-and-comer.  I have never been happy with discount chinese products, especially on something so expensive as a reef.

the thing with tunze is that roger will take care of any and all problems you have with it asap.. he'll next day ship parts if it comes down to it.
your paying for the name.. but along with that name is the great support. im sure if you gave fish street a call it'd be a hard conversation because i doubt they have any support and probably dont even employ anyone who speaks english well. that being said im all about saving money so if the same results can be had by both.. i'd probably cheap out or hold out for a used tunze.

thanks for posting that video to man, it looks great and so does your tank. i asked about the overflow because mine is external and i dont run it with the water at the same level as my tank theres about a 3 inch drop if you get what i mean, i was worried i'd be getting a splash sound from a wave. did you have a vortech before this thing?

Nice video.. It looks like it's staying 8)

I am impressed with the amount of flow it can generate, even at the lowest setting.

Quiet too.

That was also with the hood open.  Closed, you don't hear anything.  On the highest setting you can sort of hear it 'breathing' but not annoying.  Yeah, I think it's staying, it seems to be working great.  I'm hoping to see an improvement in growth from all this movement.  With the powerheads I have on random mode, it's very chaotic and uneven...a coral goes from almost nothing to a hurricane-force blast of water.  I think this is much more beneficial, well at least I hope so.  ;D

No I was looking into the vortechs, but Teebone was complaining about the noise in wave mode, and I didn't want that.  However I'd like to have an mp40 in there instead of the koralias, and the koralias were a step up from the aqueons in my opinion (although to be fair I was running them in pulses, and I don't think they're designed for that).  I really didn't want to spend $600+ on one, but the used price makes me very happy.

Now who do I talk to if there's a problem with the pump?  I figured it would be through the tunze website... ??

Oh ya. I had like 6 koralias before and like you said it was too all over the place. This keeps everything suspended and moves ALL the water. My sps is growing rapidly. My halides are giving me great growth but i want to see the led hype and compare which is why I've upgraded to LEDs. Still waiting for them to come in. Hoping to notice a substantial increase in growth.  I have nothing bad to say about the fish street. Only complaint is u get no instructions with it and it's hard as hell to tune to the exact wave. Those dials are super finicky.

ya to dial in is a pain but once u do no problem easily will do a 200 gallon tank, i can get a 3 inch on my 150 gallon where i think the tunze is only rated for 120? so far everything is strong still i run it 24 hours and its been going for 6 months straight so far

I think DT was running this wavebox on a pretty big tank, if I crank it up it would be over the sides so I think it's got to be rated for more than a 120... I'm getting a 1" wave on its lowest power setting.

Probably up to a 300g and then you might want to consider adding another.  I wouldnt be surprised if it could get a 3/4" wave on a 300g though......but it also depends on the dimensions I think.  Im getting probably a 1" wave on my 200g.

I have never tried the fish street one but it does seem like a good value.....but that value would depend on how long it lasts.

I have one tunze pump for over 5yrs now and another for 3 and they are still going like champs......I clean them about once a year but I'm over due right now.

Just looked at the specs....50 to 396 US gallons.  I can't imagine it on a 50 though, even turned way down.  The nano wavebox is rated up to 158 gallons even.

Just up there now, polyp extension is really really good on a couple of sps that weren't getting even water movement.  There's even one teeny frag that I had thought was a goner, and it's got polyps for the first time.  In fact, the granulosa is extended way more than it ever has.  Hopefully, these are good signs.

I'm going to count this this as an absolute, 100% MUST HAVE item.  I am seeing visible improvements in all of my corals, in only 2 days.  I've never had anything make such an impact.

I've got a prostrata acropora that in 2 days has morphed into a wolly mammoth.  A green stag that looks like a green shag.  A granulosa that has been brown since the day after I got it, has coloured back up -fast-.  A pink birdsnest that has sat stagnant since July has just sprouted branches for the first time.  There are also 5  other favourite corals that have just come alive in the past 2 days.

I had 3 powerheads and 2 strong return jets running in the tank, the powerheads all on 5 min on, 5 minute off cycles.  It just must not at all have been what the coral needed. All my monti colonies are showing new white tips, and my pokerstars grew 1/8 inch since sunday.

I can't get over the improvement in colour.  I have recently been looking at my filtration, skimming and lighting, and it really is looking like poor water movement was holding me back....  I haven't been this blown away with the tank since I first put the DIY LED's on it.  Absolutely amazing.  It really should be on a list somewhere of 'MUST MUST MUST HAVE's' if you're going to grow SPS.
