It's hard to get a photo of the shag carpet effect, but here are a few pics (blue lights only on at night) that hopefully show the little frags. 
So, pic 1 is the long haired heavy metal frag, it really is headbanging in there (can't capture the magic in a still photo).
Pic 2 is the new buds on the birdsnest.  It's weird, this really wasn't there last week.
Pic 3 The granulosa that had browned up.  Overnight it went green and purple, which is the colour it was supposed to be, this one is the most marked improvement.
Pic 4 This one had browned up too, it's hard to tell with the blue light, but the brown is about 50% gone and the green polyps are definitely green.
Pic 6 A frag Darryl picked out for me, just look at the different colours coming out of it.  It was supposed to be yellow, but there is just so much going on now.  This is one that was getting no flow then massive flow.  It seems a whole lot happier now
Pic 7 is a little frag with neon polyps.  This one has HUGE polyp extension compared to a couple of days ago.

Looks like some great polyp extension.  Who knew saying what I said would work.  That should be written in every post. Man I can't wait till my tank is ready.  More and more I want to go full SPS.

I can definitely confirm that it -appears- that coral growth is double what it was.  Now I should say that I've put in about a 1/4 bucket of tropic marin salt, AND changed skimmers all in the same period, but I really would guess that it's the improved water flow that is making the big difference.
