Thanks - Here is a FTS shot in Jan where I won TOTM for a Michigan Site.  This tank is 100% LED Driven with over 200 different SPS colonies.  All of these colonies started from approx. 1\" frags Nov. 2012:

I worked at a pet shop in the 90's as a high school job.  Started College late in my early 30's and completed my Masters degree at 35.  So my 180 tank was a gift to myself 2 years ago.  I had a fish only for over 15 years and been reefing for about 2 years and the current tank is about 10 months old.  Sps for just over a year.  I like to say it dosent take me long to crawlwalk- run.

Well met.

I have seen a lot of resistance to LED lighting for SPS, nice to see someone else having luck with it!  I think it is the future of the hobby.  Cheers!

Unreal!

Would love some details of the LED setup, Ie wavelength distribution. Not many folks around here believe in 100% LED yet. Im about to go 100% LED, so would love some feedback

No Problem... That is an older video where the lighting just wasnt correct.  I bought a PAR meter and found I needed several more fixtures for coverage and lowered existing.  Most of my corals were in about 150par. In that video I had 6 120 Watt.  Now I have 12 (300-500PAR)and working on a diy led to replace all of the 120  Here is the frame:

How do you like having the black sand.  Any negatives to using it in your reef?
