nice! placed your order yet?

my final design is a 36x24x16 tall, front face starphire, rimless w/ black silicone. Black vinyl back, left rear corner overflow, top right on rear glass return,  1" drain 3/4" return, 1/2" glass and polished edges. Just waiting for a confirmation email.

Was quoted 765 for it, which for what im getting and the different quotes ive gotten is right in the middle. Flavio was rather busy and has a wait time near the end of march, and roughly $1k for it, and few toronto guys were in the 500 rang but no name backing them.

Can't wait!

A picture of a 36x24x16T tank. i will have a smaller overflow box, and my return on the right side.

Im about half moved downstairs now, worked hard over the past two days to really get it done. Heres a couple quick pics of the progress. The storage was from when my mother moved to the states and wasnt able to take everything with her. most of its been donated organised or tossed. Have a large pile to take to the dump once they are open again. The tank was moved to my kitchen counter, and ive dropped the stock lights over it for the time being to keep everything alive. All are OK.

Update from miracles. I had them build it without trim on the bottom of the tank, as its a solid glass bottom that will be on foam. Looks great so far!, i'll check everything out when it shows up.

Thanks guys, Its a dream tank for me, starting out in a 14 gallon biocube, i was out of room so fast it was crazy, This is going with a very open swiming space concept, no big rock wall, just loads of color, neat fish and a realistic look.

This past week has been interesting!

I walked into work Wed morning after the long weekend, sat down and was quickly pulled into a meeting. The dealership was letting me go... They decided to cut down their sales team, and I being the youngest, got the boot. I then revised my resume, got cleaned up and headed to Ford where i applied and on saturday got the job as Sales and Leasing Rep and Internet design/upkeep. I start Tuesday!

So.. today i started my "Fix" to the stand i built a few months back. Ill let the pics do most of the talking.

I removed the old top.

This little lip, is what caused me to have to re-do the top. I missed it when i put it together the first time. Im actually glad im doing it over, I like this idea better.

Sorry to hear about the job loss, but Congratulations on getting another so quickly. :)  I hope it works out well for you.
The build is looking good so far.  I can't wait to see the new tank in place.

well the tank showed up, and i instantly was not impressed. found it unwrapped on its side on the floor, with two tanks on top of it.

it had a scratch, uneven silicone, missing bulkheads and the back vinyl was not put on properly. I have spoken to miracles and they are going to be fixing it before i pay the second half for it. Its nice, but not what i paid nice.

heres a few pics of the issue areas.

found it sitting on its right end, with two tanks on top of it. nothing protecting it, no wrap, NOTHING.

Needless to say ill be going over it in person with miracles BEFORE they tear it down, and once its fixed i will be checking it VERY well before i go to pick it up.

So sorry to hear it wasn't right.  That can be so depressing especially when you have your heart set on starting the final build!  Glad they are going to fix it.
What did the store have to say about how they had it sitting with two other tanks on top of it?  Was it wrapped up when they got it? (or are these pictures taken at the Miracles factory?)

be sure to put the MIRACLES AQUARIUMS text on all the photos.  They like putting them on every other shot they send out.

Shitty deal.  I'd be all excited.  I think I could live with some of the flaws, but scratched glass is a deal breaker.

Damn fine looking tank though.
