Yeah sorry didnt mean age just how long ago you added them lol sorry i wasnt very clear. From what ive read brooklynellacan be transferred in on anything wet. And clowns are especially susceptible to it.

So it's been about 70 days since the clown died. Shrimp and snails still doing their thing. Both laying eggs even! Is there any disease / parasite that can survive that long without a host? I found a list awhile ago, and i think the longest was 90 days (think that was ich), but can't find it now.

Hate to say it but there are a variety of opportunistic parasites in SW that can live indefinitely without a host. Requiring one only to complete their life cycles. These can survive around 2 years in appropriate conditions. These however are less common in aquarium fish and generally carry much lower mortality rates than the obligate parasites that we all live in fear of...

Though some of these are the cause of some of the ich mis-diagnoses that add to the confusion.
