These plug into a socket...if they're not wired in would they still protect downstream?  If you follow what I mean?  I put one in my bar for the whole circuit, but if I was to plug it in external. then wouldn't it just cover anything downstream from that?

There is lots of power there!! They have a full panel with lots of dedicated recepts in the kitchen plus probably another 3 or 4 out in the hall.....
Having the 6 gfci whips will come in handy......and for the price of a splitter and what I am charging for the whips, its not a major difference. 6 GFCI whips is 12 GFCI outlets so a few splitters will be needed......each vendor should be bringing a splitter (to plug in what they need) and a cord of their own to get from the wall to their setup....
Problem with putting everyone onto one gfci is that if one person has an issue then everyone goes down.....and will take more time to pinpoint the issue. Also, having more gfci will ensure that if one does crap out for whatever reason then we have more.....
Vendors in the middle will need longer cords than the ones along the perimeter of the room.....what do you think salty? Who provides this? I can likely bring a couple 100' cords for them....
And yes these gfci whips simply plug into the existing outlet and then we will plug into the whip from there......I don't want to change out the existing outlets to gfci.....this is easier and allows us to use them elsewhere later as well.

300W probably isn't excessive, I'm just putting limits a bit lower, everyone always ignores limits :)

I think people should be responsible for their own extension cords.  There's a copps down the street if they forget.  I'll have enough to think about without hunting down missing cords lol.

How be we say that each vendor should bring a 50' cord to reach from power source to their table and then whatever else they need to plug in their various equipment at their table......if you want to bring extra then go ahead.....

Honestly even 150w to 200w per table is more than doable as long as vendors use a small heater, pump, and LEDs.....

Heater - 75W - 20 Gallons
MJ1200 - Flow Rate: 295 GPH Maximum Head Pressure: 69" Power Usage: 20 Watts

Even a 150w mH pendant would keep usage to a minimum. I have the feeling that most will have low profile T5 which is around 100w or LED which runs even less.

200w should be more then enough for any table. Especially if LEDs are being used. Also consider that not all will be run 100% of the time such as heaters on and off, I am sure it will be fine.

IMO it would be best to figure out how many circuits/amperage/watts we have access too.  If we get there an the whole room is only wired with one 15amp cct we would be in trouble.  It might be possible too considering I believe you can have 10 or 12 receptacles on one 15amp cct.

If we cant get an answer from the legion, do we have any electricians on here that could check it out.  The best way to figure that out would be on of those live ac circuit tracers.  You could do it with out one but you would be messing with the breakers.

Check the panel and see what breaker rating is.  Being a commercial building I can't see the using a single 15 for the whole room.

Other option is a generator outside... Last resort but still an option.  Anyone with an rV .  :)

One 15 amp cct is good for about 1800watts. Total Approximately

I was there Darryl.....I'm an electrician.....check my previous post......we will be fine :)
Vendors just need a 50' cord to reach the provided gfci power.....50' will be excessive for some, but not for others, so its best to have a little extra IMO....and then whatever splitters and such you need at your setup.....just try to limit power consumption to what salty and i have suggested and we will be fine.

I don't think a generator will be required.....I could bring mine just in case.....it's a small Honda that provides 120V/20A but only issue is that a generator will have small voltage pulsation and really IMO a gas powered inverter is what should be used on any kind of small electronics......like LEDs or electronic ballasts, etc.....still can't believe people hook up their thousand dollar electronics to a 500 dollar generator.....pretty risky IMO. I appreciate all questions from vendors as I'm sure salty does too......gotta be prepared and know what to bring right. :)
Can't wait for June 1!!!!! Outside patio was looking pretty sweet too!!!!

Your assuming the panel will be labeled and labeled correctly.  That is a possiblity and something to look at before worrying.  Also its probably not likely that we will only have access to one 15amp for the whole room but its a worst case senerio.

Really my point being is we may have lots of juice, or very little.......lots of statements being made but no one knows ANYTHING.

GUYS.  I went in with Reef Hero and his test equipment, we're good.  He a licensed electrician!

He said the labelling wasn't really good, but there was TONS of juice, hell they had a 220 in the room for a backup stove, they are running 3 HUGE fridge/freezers, and the panel ONLY does the upper level, there is separate for the lower.

I did not want to go flipping a lot of breakers because there was an event downstairs......we got lots of power.....and worst case scenario we can start using a kitchen counter recept in the kitchen which is right attached to the hall.....
They said they have never had a problem with breakers tripping either and it looked as tho they were setup to handle large events while catering the entire thing in the kitchen.....no worries here guys.

I should mention that Reef Hero didn't charge me, took time out of his day, and actually was the one to offer to check it out.  I definitely appreciated it :)
