Can anyone tell me how to use this and where to buy it? I have a friend who plans on trying to clean up his existing rock. Any info would be appreciated
There are pharmaceutical grades of it like brightwell aquatics phosphat-e, if you go pool supplier route make sure it is 100% LC as some pool stuff has copper in it. It takes low ph to unbind it and a 10uM filter sock to remove it.

He was going to remove the rock from the tank and clean it and set it up again once he had pulled as much from the rock as he could. No sps in the tank. He's planning on moving the fish to another tank while he redoes the big tank.
The cause is having fish and coral and feeding them, one cure is LaCl.IMHO, I think that we might be looking for the solution instead of looking at the cause.. this seems backwards to me, find the cause and then find the cure.. could a lot of different reasons for po4..
yes to a point but, there has to be an underling issue to cause PO4, I and others have fish and coral and hopefully we all feed them and don't have a PO4 issue, correct...there are several causes for it...
Not trying to ruffle any feathers here, all I'm saying is that with most issues in our tanks there is usually a cause, over feeding, over stocking our tanks, poor husbandry practices. Not saying that this is the case. I personally believe that if you find the cause you will probly find the cure..not just a quick fix...
p.s. I like my fish fat..
