Pretty sleek and sexy overflow. Yes, there are 2 drilled holes in the tank from the actual over flow to feed the box in the back that you can see in the below photos. I like it.

Yep, that's it... I really like it too. I'm sure anyone who is good with acrylic could build one.

im not really getting the point of this ghost overflow? is it to save money and not have the coast to coast notched into the tank when you have it made? even tho its thin its still an overflow in the tank that with just the standard coast 2 coast and bean setup you would  eliminate.

It's just a slick looking overflow with removable teeth that make cleaning and maintenance easier. It just might be a less expensive option rather than going notched coast-to-coast.

Re: My 90G Pile of Rocks

A special shout-out to Jordan for taking the time to snap a few shots of my system. Thanks buddy, as you are a top notch guy and I do really appreciate it!  :)

If I ever get my upgrade complete, it will be great to go back to these pics and see how things were in my 90G.  8)

No problem Tyler, was nice to get out to your place, see your system, and take some pics of something new.  It is a lot easier shooting on your tank compared to mine, which has all those royal blues to contend with!  You have a great tank, will look forward to paying you a visit during your upgrade project when you get it launched.

I'd like to get out and shoot more people's tanks, I really enjoy the photography part of it.  I'm hoping that late next spring when I'm done my master's that I'll have time to get out and do more shooting of other people's systems.

Tank is looking great! Definitely time for an upgrade though. Those corals are growing too quick. lol. As for the photgraphy, it is amazing! I especially like that last photo. Truly spectacular. If you ever want a tank to photograph Jordan, you're more than welcome to come by any time. Maybe by the time you're done your Masters I will have enough growth from my SPS for some solid pictures.

As for a custom tank, figure $10 / gallon for Starphyre. My 180G with external overflow cost me exactly $1800. Also, if you are planning on a tank soon, go and buy that Water Blaster HY10000 from Royal Aquariums for $180!!!! That is an AMAZING deal! One of the best pumps and dead silent. I love it. Runs my entire setup. 3 tanks, sump and reactors with a ton of flow still for my main display.

Thanks for the kind words as Jordan has a way of making things look great. My tank isn't at it best at the moment, with my Calcium level at about 200 the time he took those shots! I have been having issues with my calcium doser, it has lost its prime a couple times over the summer leading to wonky water params.

I just noticed your post about the water blaster hy10000. That is a super deal but was also considering one of those DC pumps from Jebao. My thoughts are that I don't really need something too powerful, but highly energy efficient, just enough to pump water from my sump to the DT and maybe run a few reactors.

I've been thinking about these two pumps and just to compare..
water blaster hy10000, 2600 gph, 15.5ft max, 130watts, $180---3 yr warranty
jebao 12000, 950-3170 gph, 15.75ft max, 85 watts, $120 ---? warranty issues

Thanks for sharing your tank's price, that's a really good deal! I would assume it's 1/2 inch glass all around?

Something that is important to me are clean edges without any silicone overhang. There is nothing worse than broken pieces of silicone on the edges of a nice DT.

Derek, from Miracles sent me a few pics of their finished edges, all machined polished :)

I have done some measuring and it looks like a 180 with a 24 depth is going to be the right choice due to my planned location. I will keep everyone posted. Once again, thanks for the help

Nice....I missed the pics Jordan took.  Looks great.  I'm sure a new larger set up would be the BOMB.

Thanks, Jordan took some awesome pics... I think this one has to be my favourite!

Does this guy look familiar??  ;)
