Perfect thanks!
In another note, the Zoa and ricordea still seem to be opened. I will post pics later, as I want to make sure they are doing ok.

How
Long should I expect the diatom bloom to last. I considered a CUC, but have read that once the bloom is over there may not be enough "food" for the little guys.

A reef is in need of some sort of clean up crew. If you find it doesn't have enough to eat, you can just attach some nori/plain seaweed(no additives) to a rock

Ok, so I guess I will have to pick some up this weekend. I will read up on CUC.

You don't have to ;) If your cycle is completely done it is safe to add them :)

I am going to wait for the CUC and see how the bloom goes on it's own doing weekly water changes.

With the new corals, I have NEVER removed anything from a plug that they came on. Should I do this or leave it alone and just glue the plug to the rock when I find a spot that they like? Where I have marked the Zoe's gets full light with no shadowing. The ric on the lower side. Does this look ok?

The diatoms will eventually disappear.... Don't worry. I had a fairly large diatom bloom when I setup my 30g frag tank.... In fact I also noticed a few acros get very stressed and "brown" out a couple weeks after it was setup..... Perhaps a small cycle of sort..... Your tank is smaller but is by no means heavily stocked so I wouldn't be feeding much and just let it cycle through while running carbon, po4 absorber, and bacteria cleanup in general of some sort....A small cuc won't hurt anything. I strongly suggest against any sort of hermit crabs. Myself, I keep to snails only.....

Nah, it won't matter..... Did you use any sort of dipping method to kill off unwanted pests before introducing the frags? If not, you bought from reputable people so it shouldn't be an issue....

I will do the WC tomorrow (weekly). Add new floss and then see how the week goes. Maybe next week add the chemi pure and purigen?

Oh, and just thought of this..... Get some more fish in there.... I know ppl might disagree but tangs are great.... Maybe a yellow tang or sailfin? Keep them happy and the smaller tank won't be a huge issue for them. Buy them as small as you can find.....
I've learned this can be a downside to a smaller tank..... Lack of tangs or larger algae grazing fish.... But definitely get some more fish in there and keep them fed.... Key to a great reef tank is higher natural bio load via fish and feeding them while using methods of getting excess nutrients outta there!

I have been doing 3 gallons, but have 5 ready for tomorrow. Only media used right now is the filter floss (and skimmer).

Currently have 2 small clowns, feed NLS pellets regularly, cyclop-eez, and flakes (only use 1 a week). Also have tried target feeding and the ric got some and 1 of the 3 heads of the zoa got one. Freaked me out actually as I didn't know the ric closed to eat :)
