This is a total hipster tank. First, its green and earth "friendly". No wild corals, c'mon and second hand throw away fish. Your going to be taking in peoples unwanted fish like puppies. Secondly that wood finish and rough old pulley. Jesus....get with the times man.

Lol, I didn't realize you were lurking around here still. I want my denim capris and deck shoes back... did I mention that I'm getting hair implants to fill in my beard?

Some progress to report. Tank is in place and has been filled with RO/DI, first plumbing test failed, second was a pass.

Happy with how the pendant turned out. I need to trim up the rope a bit, and finish with rope the cords, but it came out nice I think.

The tank still needs to be trimmed in a few spots, but it is operational! Also needs to be cleaned.

The stand and trim was a lot of work.

For the trim, I used knotty pine from Lowe's. Then I filed the corners down, took drywall screws to the surface to duplicate worm holes, and hammer with the corner of a file to make it look aged. Then sanded. Then it got two coats of stain, and two coats of varathane.

The wainscotting was painted with two coats of Benny Moore semi-gloss trim paint (had it already), then the corners/edges were sanded to distress it, then it was glazed with a mix of Ralph Lauren glaze, brown house paint, and water, and wiped, to give it the look it has. Then it too got a coat of varathane.

One of the 7 magnets that holds the access paneling in place (strike plate still needs to be added):

Some plumbing and sump shots. Its running as a bean animal right now, currently though the secondary drain is pulling two much water and isn't silent, so it needs some tweaking.

Freaking amazing all put together. You should find some old wiring, the stuff in old houses that have that cloth cover and use it to hide your wiring. I think it would blend perfectly. Just obviously do not use the existing wire in the sheath lol. Again. Amazing looking build. Sleek and stylish.

Thanks for the comments :) I have to modify what I said earlier about the second plumbing test being a pass. Last night after a few hours I noticed a threaded fitting with a drip, of course I tried to tighten it and went too far and cracked the bulkhead. So new bulkhead and some spares on order, will set me a few days back anyway.

I actually wrapped the cords in the same thick sisal rope and glued it down with hot glue (first time I think I used a hot glue gun since third grade lol). I think it came out nice and it matches the rest of the fixture. I'm going to google what you suggested out of curiosity as I can't picture what you are talking about.

Yes, someone was thinking when they designed the height of the stand ;) Unions are from Lowe's.

Looks good Jordan I wish my progress of setting up your old 120 was where you are. If i knew you where thinking of going with the JNS C01 skimmer we could of maybe figured out a swap of skimmers. You will like the C-01 mine has handled my 90 gallon with ease. Can't wait to see your awesome pics of this tank.
