I'm not surprised that Sealife would be better, You may not upgrade the 5x2x2, What about the top, Rimless? Euro Braced? Not Plastic LOL Starphire or not?

36x36x24 should be ok to move around easily, so is that stand 5ft or 6ft? im still think the 180g 6x2x2 is the way to go, much better options around for lighting it, and it opens your fish list back up to include most tangs.

Of course I can pick my 200gal acrylic up by myself, flip it on its end, carry it around like a canoe portage style......

I know Duke knows what I'm talking about...

I sure do, my tank probably only weighs 60 or 70 lbs dry. Not to mention the clarity is unmatched compared to glass

Love those dimensions, good call IMO.

Miracles has great customer service.  My buddy Phil had an issue with a tank and they covered everything...as you said, floor, stand, livestock, etc..

Not my experience.  I tried to get quotes from Miracles to rebuild my current tank, and to custom build a new tank.  No one would even return my call.  I finally got through to one of the tank guys after multiple attempts, he told me to email him dimensions and pictures, never got a response after sending in and sending a follow-up email.  Horrendous customer service in my experience, as in no service at all.

36x36x24, AND for a 60\"x 24x24.

I was referring to your original dimensions in your first post, the 36 x 36 x 24.  A 60 x 24 x 24 would be sweet too, but at that length I'd just go the full 72.

got quotes from Sealife, and miracles, sealife has miricales beat by a long shot.

i was thinking though, and i got two quotes from gary:

one for my 36x36x24, AND for a 60\"x 24x24.
the 150g is only 50$ more basically, and i can use it with my new stand that came with my bow front.

decisions decisions... i like the cube idea, but it will be easier to just use the nice new stand i already have now, and a 5x2x2 is a really nice tank...

input welcome :)

I think you'd be much happier in the long run with the bigger tank, I am so happy with my 135 I don't think I could go back to a smaller tank. Good luck with your decision !

Going on 3 plus years and mine is still mint.

Mine is about 22 years old but I did buff it once when I took it out of storage.

One unique thing about Arcylic is that its index of refraction is almost identical to sea water so light hazing and scratches remain invisible until you take the water out....

Is it possible to cut down an acrylic tank without taking it apart?
I have access to an acrylic tank, but it's 36" high.

Yes of ur careful and it was well built. A table saw with a good fine finish blade would do the job or a router setup properly

@ 36" it would have to be made of 1" thick acrylic...tough to cut and even cut down you loose the advantages of light weight and ultra clarity.

Sounds like a cool tank though...what are the other dimensions?

I'm
Confused how you would lose light weight and clarity if you cut the tank apart
The tank is 36"x36"x36"
