Ohhh...I should have checked the scores before I posted. Seems like they're determined to miss the playoffs for the 20th year in a row.

Lol. Hey hear they raised ticket prices AGAIN just because they had a shot at the playoffs? Can't make this shit up. Hear also that bell and rogers (owners) split the broadcast of games, and if you're a bell subscriber you need to buy the RSN package ($75) to watch all of the games, and if you are a rogers subscriber you have to get the "deluxe sports pak ($75) to get tsn for the other games? Fuck that's an awesome way to treat fans. You should google "leaf blackout outrage" and read about the fun. Leafs ownership doesn't give a flying eff about fans, that's the real travesty. Talk about sacking EVERYONE in the balls....

They actually raised the prices of "season ticket holders" because the season ticket holders in the nose bleeds spend around $40-$50 a ticket and will sell double out side the doors . They didn't like how they were making good coin for flipping tickets .

Yeah i heard the scalpers excuse, why not just ban scalping outside the ACC? I mean, that's been going on for years and years and they don't do anything about that, so let's raise the prices for EVERYONE. I hear a beer is $20 now for a small. I remember when they were going to wipe out alcoholism by putting a "sin" tax on beer. That worked well.

Kudos on the salo pic, that was actually pretty funny. The ironic thing is salo was a magnet for groin and testicle injuries if I recall correctly :)

A phoenix game is $20, which includes tickets for 5 home games, a hotel room, a courtesy car, 2 escorts, dinner, a cool hat, and a new watch.

Leaf game: $120. Gets you a crappy seat for a crappy team, and a complimentary stabbing when returning to your car (parking extra).

Leafs made the playoffs legit, for the first time in literally 20 years, which includes lockout years, and pre-cap years where they bought enough talent to make first round.

The andersen injury is worrisome, but they seem to have a legit backup.

Pittsburgh may have wanted to let them in the playoffs but I'm not convinced they weren't trying really hard. So kudos on that.

It will be crazy interesting to see how far they go. It's easy to hate on them because they treat fans like sacks of shit and don't care, but these guys seem to actually give a shit so I'll give them credit. Good plays, good numbers and even a little bit of depth. I don't see them winning a cup, but this is their best shot at it in decades. Fans deserve it. I will eat crow when due. :)

The crow was only on hating on kadri. His improvement is incredible. I have to assume they brought in someone to work on his game, as I don't think I've ever seen improvement like that in my life.

Matthews was a godsend for leaf fans. In past years the leafs might have traded him off for someone like stamkos. They always threw away young talent for old horses. As well, they used to be the team with the least number of Canadians on the team, now they have a lot. Amazing how that changes things.

Andersen is a good goalie. If he's out it could be a real problem, but who knows. The backup seems legit.

Literally, the best they have looked in decades. I hope the don't squander it.

Salty and I have talked about it all season. I don't want to say he's a fan but I'd bet he's enjoying watching them play this year. I've been a leafs fan since I was a little boy. I've also liked the flames and the blackhawks, still like both of them too but they are rarely on tv so I just watch the scores. Once you are a fan of a team they have a little spot in your heart. You may hate them for their team management, but when they succeed you notice and you enjoy it.

It's funny how we bond to a team and feel apart of their success and take it personally when they don't do well. We get the feeling we know the players on a personal level and some identity so strongly that grown men wear their favourite guys jersey like a high school girlfriend.

If a fans favourite player gets traded they feel betrayed, like they broke up with them. So fans are really just loyal to a jersey. I guess it's just humans primal instinct to want to belong to a team and be on the winning side and hate every other team because they are the enemy.
